Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The Manager, Post-Production is responsible for the overall coordination and direct supervision of the Unscripted division’s video content received, with functions related to post-production (e.g., Video Editing, Audio and Music Editing, Graphics Design, etc.) and all associated equipment/systems and facilities scheduling.
Job Duties:
+ Meets and consults with the production management teams to ensure all operations related to video editing, audio and music editing, digital design, graphics design, and color editing are meeting the specific technical needs.
+ Provides onsite troubleshooting to all equipment and systems related to postproduction and if unable to fix issue then prepares a repair order and/or immediately contacts the Network Engineering department
+ Responsible for supervising, evaluating, and monitoring the work quality and performance of all assigned post production personnel to ensure the timely completion of all associated projects and tasks
+ Works closely with Technical/Prod Ops Logistics Coordinator to ensure a qualified candidate can backfill any missing personnel.
+ Keeps the Director of Engineering/Tech Operations well informed of area activities and significant problems
+ Responsible for tracking all equipment and reporting any issues
+ Works closely with the Director of Engineering/Tech Operations to ensure all post production equipment is properly accounted for and to report any technical defects
+ Collaborates with the Media Asset Administrator and the Post Production Coordinator to ensure that all archived media is present at the required time for the different editing sessions with the required metadata
+ Establishes a plan to ensure editing takes place ahead of air time
+ Ensures that all work is done under the technical guidelines and operations procedures of Telemundo Studios’ infrastructure and adheres to EHS/OSHA regulations and procedures
+ Follows policies, applicable laws, and regulations to protect his/her own health and safety as well as that of other workers, the public, and the environment
+ Raises concerns about possible violations of EHS policies to your manager, business and EHS Leader
+ Responsible for the final network QC before sending the show to master control once, complying with standards and practices, music rights and legal parameters
Basic Requirements:
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Operations or similar field
+ Previous supervisory/leadership experience
+ Bachelors with a focus in Film/TV Production, Electronics Engineering and/or equivalent level of education
+ Exhibits extensive knowledge of equipment used for TV/film production including cameras, audio, music, lighting/electricity, servers, color shading, and editing systems
+ Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish
+ Must be able to perform job at locations in and outside work environment with varying weather conditions
+ Exhibits working knowledge of health and safety requirements
+ Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Internet search engines

Additional Requirements:
+ This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
+ Willingness to travel with short notice and on weekends
+ Willingness to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment
+ Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area
+ Must be 18 years or older
+ Must have a valid driver’s license
+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
+ Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
