Description
Becoming the best airline is an adventure. And our Pricing & Revenue Management team is providing fuel for that journey by ensuring that we maximize our ticket revenue on every single flight across our network – both domestically and internationally – while giving our customers various product offerings for their travel. By analyzing market trends and forecasting consumer demand, this team works hard to ensure we are selling the right number of tickets at the right price to optimize our revenue and run a profitable airline.
Job overview and responsibilities
Primary Duties
+ Be responsible for the pricing activities for all markets within a specific geographical region
+ Lead day-to-day pricing issues that may arise as well as long-term strategies that maximize company revenues
+ Stay abreast of competitive information and determine the appropriate pricing posture with respect to that, given other factors such as schedule and advance bookings. Awareness of how the current environment may impact booking trends.
+ Supervise teams of analysts who are individually responsible for fare filings
+ Handle both published and private fares and ensure knowledge of relationship between these fares
Other Duties
+ Generate both ad hoc and long-term strategies to maximize passenger revenues
+ Reports to Director, and works very closely with the regional Revenue Management Senior Manager to align strategies
+ Work with other leaders of other regions, Sales, Scheduling, Revenue Decision Support, and Marketing, in order to both provide explanation of requirements/decisions and gather information to help with forecasts
+ Communicate with senior management on critical issues that may arise impacting revenues
NOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement with approximately 50% of the time spent onsite at our Chicago office location and 50% remotely.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
+ 7+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in inventory management or pricing
+ Working knowledge of a pricing system
+ Knowledge of database products which allow for analysis
+ Previous managerial experience
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Analytical ability to create models and generate spreadsheets to provide support recommendations
+ Ability to create PowerPoint presentations and present to various audiences
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

+ Master's degree
The base pay range for this role is $124,735.00 to $169,950.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
