Commercial Banking Portfolio Officer - Healthcare

Commercial Healthcare Portfolio & Ops

This position is responsible for the effective service of the Healthcare commercial portfolio.

TheCommercial Banking Portfolio Officerprovides day to day support to the Commercial Relationship Officers and Team Leaders in ensuring that customers are effectively serviced, loan closings are efficiently managed and operational situations are resolved promptly. Furthermore, the Commercial Banking Portfolio Officer manages a portfolio of Healthcare relationships to ensure maturities are booked timely.

Given the amount of time the lending team is in the field, this individual is critical to providing consistent quality service in accordance with bank goals to attain growth, reduce losses and increase profitability and customer satisfaction.

In this position, you will:

+ Interact with Credit/Risk departments and ensure process and products are in accordance to procedures and policies.

+ Prepare, organize, write credit memos inclusive of Annual Reviews, Renewals, Extensions, Modifications, Waivers and Consents.

+ Review Loan Agreements in accordance with Loan Approvals.

+ Manage monthly maturity reports.

+ Request, receive and review customer's compliance with financial reporting and covenant requirements.

+ Manage the loan portfolio for renewals, extensions and modifications.

+ Responsible for Financial and Borrowing Bases Analysis for respective portfolio.

+ Point of contact for Healthcare Team’s Syndicated/Participant Loans.

+ Analyze data, generate management reports and present as needed

+ Responsible for loan portfolio closings; coordinate with Commercial Loan Documentation and Operations to effectuate closings.

+ Interact with external Legal counsel for loan agreement preparation.

+ Interact act with Commercial Servicing, Cash Management and Operations departments.

+ Act as liaison with various units responsible for providing service to the commercial customer including but not limited to the processing of loans, payments, financial analysis, statements, etc. and ensure respective databases are accurate and up to date with customer information

+ Responsible for monthly report presentations.

+ Responsible for client template presentations (financial, covenant and borrowing base templates).

+ Support in internal and external audits.

+ Research, investigate, and resolve customer discrepancies, complaints, and payments.

+ Work with Commercial Loan Specialists in mentoring, career growth and providing guidance.

+ Support Portfolio Supervisor in managing portfolio and workflow.

To be considered, you will need:

+ Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business Administration related field and/or 5 years’ experience managing commercial credit and non-credit products, including cash flow, financial and credit worthiness analysis

+ Knowledge of relevant banking products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance related to area of responsibility. Keeps updated on changes to banking environment, bank competition, and customer’s business environment applicable to area of responsibility

+ Knowledge of banking products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance related to area of responsibility (AML/BSA/etc)

+ Familiarity with appraisals, environmental, site inspections, plan and cost review reports, global cash flow, and stress testing

+ Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure that work is completed accurately and efficiently within established time frame

+ Important Skills:Time Management, Organization, Excel and Word, Proficient phone, email, math and writing skills. Commercial Credit Experience/Education preferred. Commercial Healthcare Experience/knowledge desired. Strong awareness of Compliance and Risk policies. Strong Communication and Presentation skills.

+ Systems Skills:FIS, Commercial Loan Pipeline, Commercial Loan Information System, Onbase, DCI, JIRA, Salesforce, Service Request Portal, Collateral 360

Base Salary & Benefits

Our base salary for this position located inNew York Citygenerally ranges between $95,000.00and$105,000.00 annually, depending on business need and on your qualifications and experience. Base salary does not include incentive compensation, commission, or any other type of remuneration or benefits.

In addition to salary, Popular's well-rounded benefits package for regular full-time and part-time employees includes a comprehensive health plan, flexible time off options, and savings and investment plans. Seasonal/temporary employees are not eligible for these benefits.
