    We are looking for a motivated **Senior Analyst,** **Accounting & Controllership** to join our **Financial Shared Services** team in **Cheshire, CT** . This role offers the opportunity to develop your accounting skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As part of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, compiling financial information, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, and supporting key projects that enhance financial processes.     What You Will Do

    + Manages and maintains the organization’s financial records and transactions related to general accounting, general ledger, projects, and / or government accounting, by following procedures, guidelines, accounting policies, and control processes, ensuring accuracy of accounts

    + Compiles financial information to record transactions, prepares reports, and completes reviews to report accurate information

    + Assigns entries to proper accounts in order to ensure proper documentation

    + Prepares month end journal entries and assists in account reconciliation, projects, and internal and external audits

    + Research technical accounting issues for compliance and ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

    + Develops, directs, plans and evaluates accounting policies and procedures including cost accounting and general accounting

    + Manages the planning and direction of accounting activities, including the maintenance of the ledger accounts and financial statements

    + Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions, including coordination and administration of assignments

    + Conducts or assists in the documentation of cost, government and project accounting in addition to attending to financial reporting

    + Manages and investigates close data

    + Investigates and manages intercompany, and fixed asset accounting

    Qualifications You Must Have

    + Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or advanced Degree in a related field.

    Qualifications We Prefer

    + Bachelor's degree in Accounting

    + Experience with Microsoft Office including extensive experience in Excel

    + Experience with SAP

    + Strong oral and written communication skills

    + Capability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment

    The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
