    Introduction

    A Technical Sales Leader within IBM is a proven technology practitioner. Through leadership of deeply technical sales teams, you'll influence clients' technology strategies by leveraging IBM products, services, and people to solve their most complex business challenges.

    A natural at inspiring and motivating others, you'll support multi-skilled teams of exceptional sales and technical talent as the go to market leader in our Data Platform business. You will work closely with product management, Marketing, and Market Sales Leaders to help build Sales and Go-To Market tactics. You will be the top-level expert for your specific product set and will deliver enablement’s and customer briefings to various stakeholders and clients.

    Your role and responsibilities

    Your primary responsibilities will include actions related to building a strong Go To Market :

    * Sales Focus: Helping to drive sales tactics with focus around enabling market and geo leaders. Partnering with sales leaders to help work key strategic deals as the SME leader. Delivering client briefings, market driven webinars, and speaking at conferences

    * Pipeline Focus: Developing sales campaigns & plans to enable market leaders and sales rep to build pipeline. Creating content & motions that will help drive action leading to pipeline growth & won deals.

    * Strategy Focus: Building out enablement plans that will help sales leaders grow and understand the market better. Working with product and marketing to help drive product roadmap and alignment around key marketing events.

     

    Required technical and professional expertise

    Required Professional and Technical Expertise

    * Technology Sales Expertise: Proficiency in technology sales, specializing in all things related to data, including databases, data lake house methodology, governance, machine learning and AI,

    * Technical Acumen: Strong technical understanding of data architecture, Hyperscalers, and related integration technology

    * Ability to create sales related content: Exceptional communication skills to be able to deliver training sessions to sales and technical sales teams. Ability to create relevant content and understand what sellers need to be successful.

    * Agile and Modern Sales Approach: Proficiency in agile and modern sales techniques for quick and effective delivery.

    * Familiarity with Competitor Technology Stacks: Prior experience working with or competing against technology providers like Databricks, Oracle, AWS, GCP, Microsoft and Snowflake

     

    Preferred technical and professional experience

    Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

    * Familiarity with IBM's Products and Services: Prior experience working with any of IBM's products and services with a preference for experience within Data architecture related technologies.
