Shift: Days
Pay: $47.57 - $76.11 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.
The UCHealth Southern Colorado Research Program is seeking an individual with a passion for clinical research with expertise and/or experience in Cardiac, Trauma, Critical Care, and/or Emergency Medicine to advance and support research endeavors at UCHealth facilities in southern Colorado as a Manager of Research Administration.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in health or science related field.
+ 3 years of clinical research experience.
+ Preferred candidates will have experience in the conduct of clinical research, specifically clinical trials, as well as expertise in specialty areas of trauma, cardiac, vascular, general surgery, acute care, inpatient hospital operations, and/or emergency medicine.

Summary:
Manages the daily operations of the clinical research department.
Responsibilities:
+ The position will be responsible for leading and providing oversight of the Cardiac and Trauma Research teams on a wide range of clinical trials and other clinical research studies.
+ Individuals will serve as a member of the leadership team for the research program in southern Colorado and will work closely with key stakeholders and clinical leadership to evolve the research enterprise.
+ Individuals will support industry clinical trials, retrospective clinical research, and investigator-initiated research across multiple specialties. Will also have financial accountability for departments.
+ Personnel management of staff in Cardiac and Trauma Research
+ Serving as business operations manager of department: Administrative elements of study start up, budget, contracting, etc.
+ Provides oversight and supports relationships with investigators and service line leadership
+ Matrix leadership of study staff with clinical operations leadership and medical directors of research to ensure proper portfolio management and staff bandwidth/workload.
+ Assists with developing departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
+ Manages staff including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
+ Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
+ Assesses the quality of services delivered and coordinates services with staff, the Institutional Review Board (IRB), other departments, and external agencies.
