Director of Residential Services Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm with flexibility to meet program needs
A Day in the Life of a Director of Residential Services
As a Director of Residential Services you will be responsible for the development and operation of the Residential Program at The Arc Wayne.
+ Ensures provision of quality residential supports and services.
+ Acts as program liaison to all auditing officials and Agency's Quality Assurance department. Ensures appropriate follow-up and timely corrective action to all findings.
+ Ensures program compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
+ Develops, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures in accordance with approved regulations. Maintains the Residential Operations Manual.
+ Develops and maintains Residential budgets.
+ Coordinates Residential intake and discharge planning and approves all movement/transfers.
+ Provides oversight to all individual related crisis. Facilitates problem-solving and support to involved staff and individuals.
+ Coordinates and provides on-call coverage for Residential Programs.
+ Assumes responsibility for employment, supervision, training, and evaluation of residential staff.
Who We Are Looking For:
You possess excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills. You have strong computer skills and knowledge of Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) regulations and programs specific to Residential Services.
You have a Bachelor's Degree in Health or Human Services or a related filed and three years' experience in Residential Services and one year of supervisory experience.
You also have a valid New York State driver's license that meets Agency Driver standards.
