    Job Description

    Aramark is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chef Manager to oversee the daily operations of a resort-style residential community serving adults with developmental disabilities. The community is dedicated to helping residents lead independent lives through high-quality meal services and supportive living environments. The Chef Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen and meal services. This includes timely meal production, adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, accommodating special diets, maintaining fiscal responsibility, and managing the facility's budget. Additionally, the Chef Manager will lead a team of dedicated professionals to provide exceptional service to the residents. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar managerial role within a residential setting, ideally with individuals with developmental disabilities.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities

    + Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food

    + Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality

    + Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus

    + Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen

    + Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrates culinary techniques

    Qualifications

    + Requires 2-3 years of experience in a related position

    + Requires 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience

    + Culinary degree preferred

    + Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession

    + Requires experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems

    + Requires oral, reading and written communication skills
