Patriot Defense Design and System Initialization Analyst
Improve Army Weapon system through performance analysis!
ABOUT THIS POSITION
The analyst will evaluate Patriot Defense Designs through simulation testing and real-world data analysis of tactical emplacement system setups, utilizing both tactical hardware and software to deliver data-driven solutions that inform strategic decisions. This includes active participation in Patriot Initialization testing, where the analyst will define objectives, criteria, and procedures for test plans associated with future Patriot software builds. The role involves executing tests, analyzing resulting data, and providing formal written reports to the government. Additionally, the analyst will assess TBM Search Tailoring performance across multiple software builds as part of the initialization process. Responsibilities extend to reviewing and monitoring System Software changes to EDWA and supporting functional areas. Utilizing data reduction tools, Microsoft Excel, and Python/MATLAB, the analyst will analyze Patriot system performance in both test and tactical deployment environments. A 5% - 10% travel commitment is required. This is a fully funded, full-time position. The primary effort is team-focused and conducted in a KBR corporate classified laboratory environment located at 6200 Gateway Blvd., Huntsville, AL, just outside Redstone Arsenal Gate 9. Therefore, candidates must be residents of the Northern Alabama area or be willing to relocate.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Possess undergraduate degree in STEM related field
+ In place of a formal degree, 5+ years of experience in Air & Missile Defense Weapon Systems
+ 0 – 4 years of experience in related field
+ Strong analytical abilities with the ability to understand complex technical information and provide logical solutions.
+ Candidate must be a US Citizen
+ Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Experience in Air & Missile Defense Weapon Systems, Flight Tests/Ground System Tests, Data Analysis
+ Understanding of MATLAB, C/C++, Python, SQL, Visual Basic (VB), C#, or any other high-level programming language
+ Ability to brief audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
+ Enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment which is dedicated to the success of our government customers
+ The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, problem-solver, resourceful, highly motivated and detail-oriented. The position requires good time management and communication skills
