Job Summary** **:
The **Materials Control Supervisor** is responsible for overseeing the material flow and control within the plant, and leading the shipping, receiving, warehouse, and cycle count teams. This responsibility includes PIV fleet management, warehouse optimization, and maintaining a robust cycle count program to achieve and keep physical inventory exception for the site.
This position is also a key enabler of lean and continuous improvement in the plant. In addition, this position is accountable for materials department's indirect labor productivity. Key performance indicators for this position are employee engagement, on-time shipping, and warehouse space utilization.

This position has been designated as **On-Site** and is considered a Safety Sensitive role.
Trane Technologies is hiring a Materials Supervisor in McGregor, TX. The Materials Supervisor is responsible for providing materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and material movement, and supervising staff.
Position Responsibilities:
• Primary point of contact for resolving interruptions in Material Flow and maintaining Inventory Control. Flex between receiving, material control, and shipping to meet daily requirements.
• Coach Materials Associates the importance of accurate receiving/ship confirm transactions and help mitigate inventory discrepancies to maintain inventory locator accuracy and get PI exception.
• Collaborate with safety, operations, scheduling, planners, carriers, customer service, engineering, and quality to solve problems and drive improvement.
• Achieve warehouse operational objectives through the contribution of warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
• Meet warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
• Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, and creates processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
• Continuous development, implementation, enforcement, and evaluation of policies and procedures.
• Create warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems, evaluating and recommending new equipment.
• Establish warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout, and implementing changes.
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or engineering discipline.
• Must have experience in the integrated functions of manufacturing.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years in supervising experience focusing on talent development, and standardizing and reducing process complexity.
• Experience with rate-based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments.
• Experience in operations, inventory management, visual management systems, Microsoft Office products, inventory control/shipping software, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment, desired.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $55,000 - $97,000
This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
