The mechanical reliability engineer is responsible for working collaboratively with plant personnel to improve the plant’s overall manufacturing performance. This is accomplished by increasing overall asset utilization through improved equipment reliability, reducing unscheduled downtime, and lowering maintenance costs. Travel is minimal, approximately two times per year. The position is located in a process safety managed (PSM) chemical manufacturing facility that operates 24/7. The incumbent supports all site and compay HES policise along with all regulatory requirements. Responsibilities may include:
+ Develop and implement reliability improvement activities for the Mobile Plant to drive improved asset utilization and maintenance cost reduction. Lead small capital projects to implement solutions.
+ Provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting for the site.
+ Manage change process to implement a culture of world-class reliability expectations.
+ Establish and maintain long-term reliability improvement priorities balanced against short-term cost and production demands.
+ Develop and implement equipment operation and maintenance procedures to support ongoing reliability improvement.
+ Responsible for ensuring minimal equipment breakdown by determining fault modes and initiating positive change to productivity (OEE) and equipment cost of ownership
+ Responsible for ensuring Process Safety Management (PSM)- covered process equipment is inspected and maintained in accordance with applicable standards
The successful applicant will have:
+ BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar
+ 5+ years' experience in industrial applications, preferably in a Chemical manufacturing facility
+ certification and training in root cause analysis and other reliability related skills
+ Working knowledge with Professional Engineering standards
+ Experience with chemical processing equipment (fixed and rotating)
+ strong oral and written communications skills
+ Proficient in SAP or other ERP for Maintenance
+ Excellent interpersonal skills
