    The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most admired brand in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective. The Global Brand Strategy & Insights team sits within GABM and is responsible for accelerating brand consideration globally by delivering robust insights, transformative brand strategies, and key capabilities for marketers across the organization.

     

    We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Marketer Platforms & GenAI Strategy team to lead strategic GenAI efforts as part of a multi-year transformation initiative. This role focuses on streamlining and automating key processes within the marketing campaign lifecycle to drive optimization, with an emphasis on areas like creative development, brand review and compliance.

    In this role, you’ll do more than only manage strategic projects – you’ll be a driving force behind transformative marketing innovations. You’ll work in deep partnership with marketing, product, technology, and some third-party partners to deliver thoughtful, scalable solutions powered by Gen AI. As a bridge between strategy and execution, you’ll ensure that business objectives, user needs, and technical feasibility are always in sync – streamlining the creative development and brand review process while optimizing marketing workflows.

     

    Your ability to connect the dots between user needs, technical possibilities, and business priorities will help streamline complex workflows and unlock smarter, more agile ways of working. You’ll be a trusted partner to our Product Team – supporting guiding roadmaps, sharing requirements, and ensuring solutions reflect both strategic goals user-centric thinking. Understanding of the marketing execution lifecycle, automation tools and GenAI will be essential.

     

    You’ll be responsible for keeping key stakeholders informed and engaged along this journey, as you work to define what short- and longer-term success looks like for Gen AI within GABM. Your ability to present compelling ideas, influence senior leadership, and inspire cross functional collaboration will be essential as you lead the charge in optimizing how our marketing operates at scale.

     

    This unique opportunity allows a customer-first, digital obsessed product manager and/or marketer the chance to help define Gen AI’s role in transforming the future of marketing.

    Responsibilities:

    + Define long-term strategic vision and product roadmap for Marketing GenAI products from feature and requirement definition, UX and UI scope and ongoing enhancements across proprietary Amex tools and third-party technologies from concept to launch

    + Inspire creativity across the product and engineering teams, pursue new ideas that push boundaries, leverage emerging technology solutions to drive customer-first innovations

    + Build relationships and collaborate closely with other business, product and technology teams across the Enterprise

    + Drive thought leadership by keeping your finger on the pulse of external trends and competitive insights on products in the marketplace to drive innovation and best industry practices

    Qualifications:

    + 4 years of digital marketing and/ or product experience

    + Dynamic collaborator who can build strong and trusted relationships, and works well across marketing, product, and technology teams

    + Strategic and creative thinker who can translate customer insights into actionable plans and able to define success metrics and drive continuous optimization.

    + Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to work under tight timelines and to collaborate with, and influence, teams across technical and non-technical teams of all levels of the organization.

    + Clear and thoughtful storyteller, especially for senior-level presentations

    + Balance of managing tech/product development processes with leading in an –enterprise first, marketing-centric way

    + Enthusiasm and passion for emerging technologies, digital capabilities, and disruptive thinking

    + Positive thinker with a can-do attitude, who likes to have fun!

    + Experience working within Agile software development methodologies and supporting tools.

    + Familiarity with GenAI applications in automation and machine learning is a plus

    + Agency experience a plus

    Qualifications

    Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits

     

    The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
