BJC HealthCare System is hiring a **Full-Time Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)** for **Barnes-Jewish Hospital.**
$10,000.00 Sign-on Bonus for eligible candidates!!!!
Position Details:
+ **Day Shift Hours** : 4 – 10 hour shifts per week (7am-5:30pm) with rotating days off, and
+ Saturday Rotation (approximately once a month- 8 hr shift 0730-1600 with additional day off during week)
+ **Closed on SUNDAYS and all major holidays!!!**
+ **No after-hours call that is required**
+ BJH CDL South and BJH CDL CAM
+ Performs complex transthoracic echocardiography exams at various locations (inpatient and outpatient) throughout academic campus.
+ _We utilize primarily GE equipment with newer GE E95 machines, PICOM Imaging/Reporting system, EPIC_
+ _The Cardiac Diagnostic Laboratory at Barnes-Jewish Hospital is partnered with Washington University School of Medicine to provide state-of-the art multi-modality echocardiographic imaging._
+ _Performs ASE-guided, non-invasive cardiovascular testing in an IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) accredited lab to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease or injury, including advanced pathologies and anatomies (3-D echocardiography, transplanted heart and lungs, assist device placement and management, transcatheter valvular repair/replacement, congenital abnormalities and malformations, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, percutaneous placement of closure devices for patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defects, and research protocols)_
+ _Performs testing in routine, non-routine urgent and emergent patient care situations_
+ _Testing modalities will include transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress transthoracic echocardiography._

The Barnes-Jewish Hospital Cardiac Diagnostic Lab provides non-invasive diagnostic services to inpatient and outpatient populations in conjunction with our partners, Washington University Physicians. The department provides the following services to our patients: Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE), Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), Stress Echocardiograms, Nuclear Stress Tests, Treadmill Exercise Stress Tests, Event and Holter Monitors and EKG Processing.

Responsibilities
+ Performs complex echocardiography exams at various locations throughout academic campus.
+ Evaluates all aspects of cardiovascular patient clinical assessment for cardiac conditions and recognizes abnormalities.
+ Reviews and correlates relevant patient history, including corrective procedures, surgeries, etc. Applies independent clinical judgement during exam to ensure appropriate anatomical, pathophysiology and clinical conditions are captured in examination images.
+ Acquires advanced modalities as trained to include 3D, right heart strain, TAPSE, PISA. Transcatheter pre/post valvular repair/replacement, HOCM etc
+ Communicates with healthcare team for collaboration of care. Reviews examination images, synthesizes examination results and prepares preliminary findings to support interpreting physician echocardiographer by contributing technical impressions and professional knowledge to facilitate the completion of final diagnostic report for use in clinical care.
