    + This role is responsible for supervising the day-to-day functions for the corporate accounting / financial reporting processes of the company.

    + The role is a part of the Corporate Accounting team within our Finance group.

     

    What you'll do

    + Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual supporting schedules for responsible accounting functions

    + Lead, coordinate, and prepare reports that include financial statements, footnotes, and other financial and covenant compliance information

    + Review journal vouchers, monthly support schedules, and general ledger account reconciliations

    + Supervise the day-to-day maintenance and projects associated with those areas of responsibility

    + Research new/revised accounting requirements and work with peers to incorporate them into schedules, reports, and monthly procedures

    + Monitor current developments of various accounting standard setting bodies and remain current on technical accounting literature to identify/assess possible changes to the Company’s Accounting policy and practices. Examples include SEC, FASB, GAAP, Technical Bulletins and other accounting policy and practice pronouncements. This position is responsible for researching, interpreting, and providing accounting guidance and support based on adopted interpretations.

    + Periodic review of existing accounting practices in significant judgment areas to ensure compliance with dynamic technical environment.

    + Advise finance and operations management on the accounting and reporting consequences of potential transactions such as due diligence on strategic initiatives and review of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures agreements to determine accounting impact.

    + Coordinate activities to ensure internal/external auditors requests are completed

    + Ensure integrity of relevant financial system modules and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

    + Ensure that accounting functions are Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliant

    + Assist in providing guidance on accounting issues to business groups of the company as needed

     

    All you'll need for success

    Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline or equivalent experience

    + CPA required, with minimum of 7 years of combined public (Big 4 or TIer II National) accounting experience and/or public company SEC reporting or corporate accounting experience

    Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    + Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA, or other related discipline or equivalent experience

    + SAP general ledger and Hyperion Financial Management reporting tool preferred

    + Manager exerience preferred

    Skills, Licenses & Certifications

    + CPA license required

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office software

    + Demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities

    + Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

    + Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply technical accounting literature
