Job Description

CVS Health is undergoing a significant digital transformation initiative, including the consolidation and modernization of its data platforms. As part of this effort, we are seeking experienced MarkLogic Developers to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the migration and integration of enterprise data systems, ensuring seamless data exchange, high performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the merging of legacy and modern data platforms using MarkLogic.

Design, develop, and maintain MarkLogic-based applications, including ingestion pipelines, harmonization flows, and search functionalities.

Build and optimize RESTful APIs for data access, transformation, and integration with external systems.

Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using tools like MarkLogic Content Pump (mlcp) and CORB.

Develop and maintain XQuery, XSLT, XML, JSON, and XSD artifacts for structured and semi-structured data processing.

Configure and manage MarkLogic internals, including indexes, triggers, schemas, and security settings.

Utilize Information Studio and other MarkLogic tools for data profiling, lineage, and quality assurance.

Participate in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of queries and ingestion workflows.

Support DevOps practices using Git, Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines for deployment and automation.

Skills and Requirements

68 years of hands-on experience in MarkLogic development.

Strong expertise in MarkLogic internals, including:

XML, XSLT, XQuery, JSON, XSD

Indexing strategies and query optimization

Schema design and data modeling

Experience with MarkLogic Content Pump (mlcp), CORB, and MarkLogic Triggers.

Proficiency in API development, data exchange protocols, and integration patterns.

Familiarity with Information Studio and data governance tools.

Solid understanding of data ingestion and harmonization workflows.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and data migration projects.

Familiarity with Data Hub Framework (DHF) and ml-gradle.

Exposure to Apache NiFi, JavaScript, or other scripting languages.

MarkLogic Developer Certification is a plus. null
