Our client, a leading technology firm, is seeking an IT Security Specialist II to join their team. As an IT Security Specialist II, you will be part of the Security Operations supporting the global security initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** IT Security Specialist II

**Location:** Plano, TX (Hybrid - 3 days Onsite)

What's the Job?

+ Automate the process of identifying and remediating vulnerabilities and compliance in a Hadoop platform.

+ Collaborate closely with the global security team to remediate and report platform compliance to security standards.

+ Manage Hadoop platform governance, vulnerability management, and incident management.

+ Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure compliance and security measures are met.

+ Write effective, scalable code in Python to enhance platform functionality and security.

What's Needed?

+ Proven experience with Hadoop platform security and compliance, particularly with Cloudera Hadoop Platforms.

+ Strong programming skills in Python, with the ability to test and debug programs effectively.

+ Working knowledge of Linux OS and HDFS, including writing and decoding shell scripts.

+ Experience with IT Incident Management Tools such as Nexus, Remedy, or ServiceNow.

+ Familiarity with SDLC tools and concepts, including JIRA and Scrum methodologies.
