Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in India to support a Fortune 500 manufacturing client of ours. This is a key role in helping the DevOps and Solution Architecture team deliver success to the business stakeholders. Collaborate with the Cloud Architecture and project teams to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure as code for the project teams. The day-to-day for this engineer will consist of building and maintaining release pipelines, optimizing the architecture of AWS-related solutions, and focusing on stability, performance, security, cost, and simplicity. This engineer will be able to streamline all DevOps practices. You should be able to review technical operations and automate the process using the right tools and techniques.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.

4+ years of industry experience in multinational companies, including 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer in Linux/Windows environments.

Knowledge of one or more scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, Node.js, Ruby.

Advanced Knowledge of source control technologies like Git, GitHub.

Basic understanding of networking concepts like DNS, Subnetting, Gateways, DHCP/NAT, OSI Model, Firewall, Load Balancers, Proxy Servers, HTTP/HTTPS protocols

Hands-on experience in docker containers including but not limited to create/run containers, download/change an image, inspect active containers, docker networking, volume management, creating/using docker files, creating/using docker-compose files.

Hands-on experience in container orchestration technologies, e.g. Kubernetes, including cluster/node management, creating resources with YAML, creating/managing pods, replica/Dameon sets, services, volumes.

Hands-on experience in infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform.

Solid experience in using configuration management tools like Ansible, including ad-hoc commands, create/manage inventory files, create/run playbooks, variables/templating.

Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines across cloud and hybrid environments.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps (preferably)

Hands-on experience in using monitoring and log management tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.

Solid Experience in designing and maintaining cloud-based DevOps solutions in AWS

Familiarity with agile development practices, particularly sprint planning and estimation.

Know-how of software development, testing, and configuration methodologies

Familiarity with the latest industry trends and best practices

Excellent analytical and research skills

Excellent problem-solving ability

Ability to organize and manage time effectively.

Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Good communication skills

Based out of Europe (Poland, preferably) or work in European timezone
