Overview:

This position primarily supports the Regulatory Relations function. The position is responsible for the maintenance and scheduling of regulatory continuous monitoring meetings, and related communications with senior leaders and regulatory agency staff. The position also provides general support to the Regulatory Relations and Regulatory Affairs teams in their execution of regulatory interactions and examinations.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Maintain the regulatory continuous monitoring meeting list throughout the year.

+ Schedule continuous monitoring meetings with regulatory agency staff, various business lines, senior leaders, and members of the Board of Directors.

+ Professional and timely communication with senior leadership and their support staff, members of the Board of Directors, and regulatory agency staff.

+ Initiate Webex calls for certain senior leadership and regulatory agency staff.

+ Support department compliance with continuous monitoring meeting requirements (prep meetings, agendas, meeting materials, and notes).

+ Support continuous monitoring information program by providing materials to regulatory agencies, following up with internal parties and related duties as warranted.

+ Maintain supervisory contact lists, department mailbox, exam calendar, and similar department resources.

+ Coordinate onsite meetings for bank personnel and regulatory agency staff.

+ Develop and maintain a current knowledge of the department policies, procedures and processes.

+ Prepare weekly and monthly reporting associated with meeting occurrences for the Regulatory Affairs team and senior management.

+ Assist with coordination of correspondence with regulatory agencies related to examination management (as applicable) and respond to ad hoc regulatory requests.

+ Support various ad hoc projects.

+ Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

+ Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Support the Regulatory Relations staff in the execution of supervisory interactions and examinations. Partner with the various lines of business and regulatory agency staff to ensure successful regulatory interactions.

Education and Experience Required:

Associate’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 4 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ related experience

Experience in financial reporting, audit, or similar field.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree

Demonstrated ability to organize documents and information

Ability to communicate with all levels of the bank

Experience in financial reporting, audit, or similar field

Ability to execute and a client service orientation

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $24.09 - $40.14 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
