As the Principal, Running Moments in Sports Marketing, you will play a critical role in developing, scaling, and optimizing how we show up for our most important athletes, federations, and key partners in the biggest moments. You will build the strategy, navigate the matrix to leverage internal key stakeholders, and deliver best-in-class “Nike only” experiences at Running moments around the world.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    + Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training

    + 8-10 years industry experience

    + 8-10 years event management experience is preferred

    + Established relationships & tenured experience in Running are highly preferred

    + Excellent portfolio of accomplishments for leading complex & highly visible projects and delivering results at scale

    + High level of understanding how to work alongside and manage high-profile relationships

    + Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to present and communicate to senior leaders

    + Innate ability to communicate and work across all geos, languages, and cultures while welcoming diversity of thought

    + Proven track record of managing against a budget, creating tracking tools, and providing leadership updates on status

    + Project development process knowledge (mainly Keynote, Excel, and Air Table)

    + Ability to communicate effectively with clear, concise written messages through memos, emails and reporting tools

    + Proven ability to prioritize workloads, adapt to product calendars, and engage diverse teams to drive towards a common goal

     

    WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

     

    In this role, you will work alongside our Running Sports Marketing leadership team. You will also influence the athlete journey & services platforms, work across the matrix to bring growth-driving products to the forefront in key moments, build experiences that are central and bespoke to the Running athlete and partner, and bring critical insights to the Moments Leadership Team in an effort to push the boundaries of innovation and to drive consistency across the board.

     

    + Drive a prioritized, consistent approach to Moments for Running events around the world

    + Lead process excellence through: product planning, style selection, and overall athlete preference

    + Ensure seasonally relevant, business-right products are being integrated into Moments

    + Work with key external partners to drive technology and data insights, leading to speed and efficiency

    + Partner with Global Finance to ensure budget, cross charges, and fiscal year mapping are optimized

    + Constantly assess our external partner portfolio, looking for new & innovative ways to push the boundaries of athlete service in Running.
