Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, the CRT/RRT provides comprehensive respiratory care to include: basic respiratory care, intensive respiratory care, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, arterial blood gas, electrocardiograms, and basic pulmonary function testing. The position will be responsible for the care of patients ages:

InfancyBirth to 1 year

ToddlersAge 1 to 3

PreschoolAge 3 to Age 5

School ChildAge 5 to Age 12

AdolescentAge 12 to Age 18

Young AdultAge 18 to Age 44

Middle AgeAge 45 to Age 65

Older AdultAge 65 and Over

Performs patient care duties consistent with established Departmental and Hospital standards of care. Abides by all rules, directives, policies, and procedures, and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Due to the nature of hospital services, it may become necessary to require employees to work extended hours or other variations of the usual shift to ensure adequate care of patients and maintain service to the community. Maybe required to take call.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date

+ Basic Cardiac Life Support

+ PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date

+ Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT)

+ State Registered Respiratory Therapist

+ Associate Degree
