About this role:
The Consumer Technology (CT) - Payment Applications Support (PAS) department at Wells Fargo is seeking a highly motivated and creative Senior Specialty Systems Operations Engineer to support multiple critical revenue generating online platforms such as ZELLE, Bill Pay, Transfer Scheduling, Online Wires, Direct Pay and other highly prized applications involved in moving funds for our customers.
In this role, you will:
+ Be the Subject Matter Expert responsible for understanding and retaining knowledge on the end-to-end implementation, functionality, technologies, and external dependencies used in various crown jewels - money movement platforms.
+ Engage in digital forensic activities to analyze, identify, preserve, and recover information registered in the various technology stack to support fraud prevention, risk mitigation, and account reconciliation objectives. This also includes ad hoc reporting, data analytics/modeling, and similar activities to help achieve business objectives in collaboration with business and development partners
+ Research/assess impact and risk, create real-time/short-term mitigation, and determine root cause of complex events affecting multiple technology layers in the stack, downstream processes, and customer transactions
+ Work closely with other technical teams to propose enhancements, create long-term fix, and help lead business and other enterprise support partners to arrive at a consensus and implement solutions.
+ Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
+ Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availabilityOn occasion, provide training, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced team members, as well as assist the department to improve service model, processes, and workflow
+ Research production issues, provide impact analysis, remediation steps to resolve issues, proactively identify preventive actions, create JIRA for enhancements and defects and participate in RCA calls
Required Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of systems engineering or technology architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 3+ years of Oracle and Procedural Language (PL) or SQL experience
+ 2+ years of J2EE application support experience
+ 2+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
Desired Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of experience in microservices applications including Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Storm
+ 2+ years of MongoDB experience
+ 2+ years of Linux experience
+ 2+ years of Perl or Shell experience
+ 2+ years of Python experience
+ 2+ years of JavaScript development experience
+ 2+ years of SOA (Services Oriented Architecture) experience
+ 2+ years of JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) development experience
+ 2+ years of Splunk experience
+ 2+ years of Autosys experience
Job Expectations:
+ Willing to work on the weekends based on predetermined on-call schedule on rotation basis
+ This position offers a hybrid work schedule
