Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Division: Equipment & Facilities

Supervisor: Electrical Foreman

Job Summary : The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. They will work independently or as part of a team to ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities :

+ Install and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels

+ Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance

+ Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and provide solutions

+ Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints

+ Keep up-to-date with industry codes and standards and ensure compliance in all work

+ Collaborate with other trades professionals, such as HVAC technicians or plumbers, as needed

+ Communicate with customers to understand their electrical needs and provide recommendations

+ Train and mentor apprentices or less experienced electricians, as needed

+ Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

+ Completion of an apprenticeship program and Journeyman Electrician certification

+ 3+ years of experience in industrial, commercial and/or residential electrical installation and repair

+ Familiarity of PLC controls and Relay Logic preferred

+ Knowledge of electrical systems and codes and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints

+ Familiarity with a variety of electrical tools and equipment

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

+ Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

+ Excellent communication and customer service skills

+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team

+ Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, if required

+ Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits. The Journeyman Electrician will report to the Electrical Foreman and work closely with the production team to ensure optimal performance of industrial machinery and equipment.
