In this role, the Principal Software Engineer/Sr Principal Software Engineer will:

+ Be capable of independent design, architecture, and implementation of applicable technologies to complete Mission requirements.

+ Be part of a team of Software and Test engineers in the design and development of new enterprise systems and continued O&M of existing systems.

This position can be hired at a Principal Software Engineer or Sr. Principal Software Engineer level.

Principal Software Engineer** **Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience, 3 plus years experience with a Master's Degree and 1 plus year of experience with a PhD

+ Experience with Software Architecture

+ Must have development experience with C#

+ Must have an active Secret Clearance

+ Must work on site. Remote work is not available for this role.

Sr.** **Principal Software Engineer** **Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years related experience, 5 plus years experience with a Master's Degree and 3 plus years experience with a PhD

+ Experience with Software Architecture

+ Must have development experience with C#

+ Must have an active Secret Clearance

+ Must work on site. Remote work is not available for this role.

Principal/Sr. Principal Software Engineer** **Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

+ Experience with C, C++, and/or Assembly

+ Experience with PowerShell

+ Experience with Hex Editors

+ Willing to upgrade to a TS/SCI with FSP

Salary Range: $121,400.00 - $182,000.00Salary Range 2: $151,100.00 - $226,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
