Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. This role involves managing invoice processing and payment verification across multiple entities within the beverage industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and validate invoices accurately across multiple entities within the organization.

• Verify supplier invoices using the three-way matching process, ensuring consistency between purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoice processing and payment verification.

• Monitor and clear open items in the goods received not invoiced report in a timely manner.

• Communicate directly with suppliers to obtain statements, address inquiries, and resolve disputes.

• Research and resolve issues with billing documentation, vendor inquiries, and invoice copies.

• Regularly review and address accounts payable aging reports to manage aged invoices effectively.

• Evaluate and enhance accounts payable procedures and internal controls for greater efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP for financial data management.

• Familiarity with invoice coding, processing, and purchase order operations.

• Strong understanding of the three-way matching payment verification process.

• Experience in the consumer goods or beverage industry is preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills for supplier engagement and dispute resolution.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
