Description

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Litigation Associate to join our client's law firm team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex litigation cases, particularly those involving asbestos exposure, while building meaningful relationships with clients. The position requires frequent travel across the country, a strong commitment to client advocacy, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough investigations to identify sources of asbestos exposure and gather critical case details.

• Travel nationwide to interview clients, understand their histories, and collect key information about exposure incidents.

• Manage discovery processes, including document reviews and drafting interrogatories.

• Prepare and defend depositions, ensuring all legal and factual elements are thoroughly addressed.

• Draft and argue motions in court to advance case strategies.

• Collaborate on trial preparation, serving as second or third chair with opportunities to lead trials as experience develops.

• Build strong client relationships by demonstrating empathy and professionalism during sensitive interactions.

• Develop expertise in asbestos exposure, mesothelioma-related terminology, and litigation procedures to effectively advocate for clients.

• Work closely with colleagues to achieve successful outcomes in multi-defendant litigation cases.

Requirements • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the Pennsylvania bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.

• Minimum of three years of experience in litigation, with a preference for asbestos or mass tort cases.

• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Strong interpersonal abilities to build trust and rapport with clients during challenging circumstances.

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the country.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.

• Dedication to working collaboratively within a team and advocating for injured clients.
