Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Client Accounting Specialist I - AP (Tier II) to join our team on a contract basis in West Henrietta, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, maintaining records, and supporting departmental operations. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Review reports to identify and resolve payment application or posting discrepancies, following established procedures.

• Retrieve necessary data to ensure the accurate and timely posting of transactions.

• Provide support to other departments by responding to requests for check copies, reports, or related documentation.

• Maintain accurate records and logs of all financial transactions in accordance with company policies.

• Process daily cash activities, including incoming and outgoing transactions, while ensuring compliance with departmental standards.

• Evaluate financial transactions to identify potential fraud or risks and report findings to management promptly.

• Participate in team meetings to stay informed of risk factors and updates relevant to your responsibilities.

• Assist with cash posting tasks and contribute to special projects, such as year-end audit preparation.

• Ensure all data is accurately recorded in appropriate databases and systems. Requirements • Proven experience in customer service and accounting functions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

• Familiarity with cash transactions and financial risk assessment.

• Strong understanding of company policies and procedures related to accounting.

• Ability to maintain detailed records and logs of transactions.

• Experience with databases and scanning documents.

• Capability to manage tasks such as remittance handling and cash posting.

• Knowledge of audit preparation and quality assurance processes.
