Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Fraud Specialist to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization and clients from financial crimes, fraud, and related risks. This position requires a proactive and analytical individual capable of investigating and resolving fraudulent activities while collaborating with internal teams and external financial institutions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough investigations into reported fraud cases, ensuring accurate resolution and minimal financial impact.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify, track, and mitigate potential fraud risks.

• Educate clients on fraud prevention strategies and best practices to enhance their security measures.

• Work closely with financial institutions to freeze compromised accounts and recover funds involved in fraudulent activities.

• Analyze patterns and trends in fraudulent activities to develop actionable insights and preventive measures.

• Provide timely and detailed reports on fraud incidents to relevant stakeholders.

• Respond promptly to fraud alerts and inquiries from clients and internal business partners.

• Stay updated on emerging trends in financial crime to enhance the organization’s fraud prevention strategies.

• Support the development of policies and procedures aimed at minimizing fraud risks. Requirements • Proven experience in fraud investigation, financial crime prevention, or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and trends in data.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate clients and collaborate with partners.

• Familiarity with financial institutions and their processes for freezing accounts and recovering funds.

• Knowledge of fraud prevention strategies and best practices.

• Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Proficiency in using investigative tools and systems to monitor fraudulent activities.
