Description
Robert Half is seeking a Fiscal/Accounting Manager to join our client's team. The Fiscal/Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role as a key collaborator bringing expertise in managing moderately complex accounting responsibilities. This dynamic position ensures seamless coordination of all fiscal activities, guaranteeing timely and accurate project completion while maintaining the integrity of financial reports. The Fiscal Manager oversees billing personnel, drives the preparation of agency financial reports and budgets, and provides strategic support to the Director of Budget & Audit. This role is an opportunity to make a significant organizational impact while performing diverse and critical duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Creates journal entries and ensures data input is accurate.
+ Compiles and delivers reports, including financial statements and monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, for the CFO.
+ Reviews and authorizes monthly stipends and invoices.
+ Updates team members on city and state program compliance requirements.
+ Develops budgets, forecasts, cost allocation plans, and performs budget revisions as needed.
+ Tracks and compares budgeted versus actual expenditures.
Requirements
The ideal Fiscal/Accounting Manager will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
Other requirements for the Finance Director role include and are not limited to:
+ 5+ years of accounting experience,
+ Experience with Paylocity, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred.
+ Knowledge of governmental accounting procedures and practices
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
