Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team in Salisbury, North Carolina. In this role, you will contribute to auditing processes that drive innovation and improvement across various domains within the organization. As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance, managing risks, and supporting business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive audits across organizational processes and systems to identify risks and ensure compliance with internal controls.

• Analyze complex business scenarios using critical thinking and independent judgment to deliver actionable insights.

• Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, fostering strong communication and working relationships.

• Utilize data analytics tools, such as PowerBI or Alteryx, to enhance audit processes and deliver more robust findings.

• Provide recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation strategies based on audit findings.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies, including robotic process automation and machine learning, and assess their impact on business processes.

• Lead or participate in projects that involve cross-functional teams, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.

• Prepare clear and concise reports to communicate audit results and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Travel occasionally (up to 10%) to conduct audits at various organizational sites as needed.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a master’s degree is preferred.

• Minimum of five years of experience in auditing, with a background in Big Four firms considered a plus.

• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze complex situations independently.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas effectively.

• Proficiency in project management, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• A solid understanding of business processes and objectives, with the ability to build effective relationships.

• Familiarity with data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Alteryx, or Microsoft Access.

• Relevant certifications or a willingness to pursue credentials in the field, such as CPA, CIA, or CISA.
