    Job Description: Staff Accountant

     

    Salary: $80K–$95K

     

    My client is hiring a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records for the organization’s operations. You will be responsible for analyzing, reconciling, and updating financial statements and preparing management reports. This is an on-site position at the corporate headquarters and offers an opportunity to join a high-performing accounting team made up of experienced managers, leads, and staff/senior regional accountants.

    Responsibilities:

    + Review, analyze, and evaluate journal entries submitted by operational personnel for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.

    + Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

    + Oversee accounting for fixed assets, maintaining records for both book and tax history.

    + Prepare and evaluate internal management reports.

    + Interact with operations personnel to obtain explanations and documentation for account balances and activities.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

    + 1–3 years of general ledger and account reconciliation experience.

    + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

    + CPA or CPA coursework (preferred).
