Description
We are looking for a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Los Angeles, California, on a long-term contract basis. This role involves providing comprehensive support to attorneys across multiple offices, including occasional visits to the Orange County location. The position offers a hybrid work schedule after an initial in-office period, making it ideal for professionals who value flexibility while maintaining high standards of productivity.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, organize, and manage legal documents such as briefs, contracts, and case files to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including document production and research, to support case strategies.
• Coordinate and maintain calendars for court dates, meetings, and deadlines to ensure seamless scheduling.
• Conduct legal research using various tools and databases to gather relevant information for casework.
• Provide overflow support to attorneys across offices, balancing workloads and meeting deadlines effectively.
• Utilize case management software to track and manage case progress and documentation.
• Facilitate communication between attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity and resolution of issues.
• Perform billing functions and track time using systems such as iManage, Juris, and iTimeKeep.
• Maintain proficiency in labor and employment law practices, ensuring compliance and thoroughness in all tasks.
• Visit the Orange County office periodically to provide in-person support and strengthen collaboration with the team.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Paralegal with a strong background in labor and employment law.
• Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple priorities, including calendar and case management.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities to liaise effectively with attorneys, clients, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of billing systems and processes, including tracking billable hours and using tools like iTimeKeep.
• Ability to work independently and manage a hybrid schedule, demonstrating self-motivation and adaptability.
• Flexibility to visit additional office locations as needed and collaborate with teams across sites.
