Description

We are looking for a skilled and meticulous Bookkeeper to manage essential financial operations and support administrative processes within our client's organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and possesses both technical accounting expertise and outstanding organizational abilities. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, this position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the efficiency and accuracy of our financial practices.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, monitoring collections, and reconciling accounts to ensure financial accuracy.

• Oversee accounts payable operations by processing vendor payments, verifying invoices, and ensuring proper approvals for expenditures.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to align financial records with the general ledger and maintain integrity.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate financial documentation to support audits and reference needs.

• Analyze and manage general ledger accounts, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and ready for reporting.

• Handle client billing processes and manage trust fund accounts in accordance with ethical and industry standards.

• Prepare and present financial reports to aid organizational decision-making and provide insights.

• Support human resources functions such as employee onboarding, payroll coordination, compliance tracking, and maintaining benefits documentation.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, general ledger management, and payroll.

• Experience working in a law firm or accounting firm is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in computerized accounting systems; familiarity with Tabs3 software is a significant advantage.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data entry, with the ability to analyze complex financial information.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy and meet deadlines.

• High level of integrity and professionalism, maintaining confidentiality in sensitive matters.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Ability to adapt and consistently represent the organization in a positive manner.
