Our client, a premier gaming operator, is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Auditor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates, entry-level accounting professionals, or revenue auditors eager to make their mark in a dynamic and fast-paced industry! As a Revenue Auditor in the Race & Sports division, you will ensure compliance with both state regulations and internal policies regarding race and sports wagering operations. Your role involves overseeing the financial, operational, and regulatory aspects of the race and sports betting areas in a casino or sportsbook. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and internal procedures.
This role requires sharp analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strong ability to reconcile accounts and conduct audits in an operational environment.
Responsibilities for the Revenue Auditor:
+ Perform daily audits of race and sports revenue, reconciling data to identify variances and discrepancies by verifying that all deposits, payouts, bets and winnings are properly recorded.
+ Ensure compliance with MICS and internal policies by reviewing processes and verifying adherence.
+ Verify balances between operational systems and accounting records, ensuring accuracy of reported revenue.
+ Investigate audit findings and document supporting evidence for reconciliation and compliance purposes.
+ Prepare and upload journal entries to the general ledger while maintaining robust documentation for audit trails.
+ Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve issues and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements
We’re looking for candidates who fit one or more of the following profiles:
+ Recent Graduates: Earned a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and are passionate about starting a career in auditing and compliance.
+ Experienced Revenue Auditors: Prior experience auditing revenue in the gaming industry. Familiarity with MICS and gaming operations is highly desirable.
+ Entry-Level Accounting Professionals: Proficiency in performing reconciliations, auditing financial transactions, and maintaining compliance documentation.
+ Must have strong Microsoft Excel skills
+ Must have fast & accurate data entry skills
+ Must have an active Gaming Card or willing to register with the Nevada Gaming Control Board to obtain your gaming card.
