Description

We are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join a boutique insurance defense firm in Decatur, Georgia. This is a Contract-to-permanent position offering a hybrid schedule, with three days in the office. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in legal billing, data entry, and invoice preparation while demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Manage billing tasks using MyCase software, including data entry and processing invoices.

• Prepare and distribute invoices accurately and on time.

• Perform detailed data entry to ensure accurate record-keeping and billing information.

• Collaborate with team members to maintain organized and efficient workflows.

• Support legal defense operations by providing administrative and billing assistance.

• Ensure compliance with billing protocols and procedures.

• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

• Communicate with clients and team members regarding billing inquiries and updates.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in an insurance defense setting.

• Proficiency in using MyCase or similar legal billing software.

• Strong skills in data entry and invoice preparation.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

• Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under deadlines.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, including in-office days.

• Familiarity with legal billing procedures and practices.
