Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. This Contract-to-continuing position offers the opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations by managing invoice processing, reconciliations, and other key accounting tasks. The role requires a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and proficiency in Oracle Fusion.

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices, approximately 400-500 per week, in coordination with team members.

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare and post journal entries as needed to maintain accurate accounting records.

• Utilize Oracle Fusion software to manage and streamline accounts payable tasks.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper account coding and adherence to accounting policies.

• Assist in bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial transactions.

• Maintain organized records and documentation for all accounts payable activities.

• Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

• Proficiency in Oracle Fusion or similar accounting software systems.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.

• Experience with account coding, reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Ability to manage a high volume of invoices with accuracy and efficiency.

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations and general accounting functions.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
