Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a top client in the maritime industry specializing in assisting oil companies with port-to-port shipments. This hybrid opportunity offers competitive compensation and the chance to join a dynamic team at the forefront of the maritime sector.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Coding and Data Entry: Accurately code and assign invoices to correct vessels and financial classes.

+ Invoice Processing: Handle a high volume of invoices, typically 10-30 daily, with efficiency and precision.

+ Excel Management: Utilize Excel pivot tables and formulas to organize and analyze financial data effectively.

+ Vendor Management: Support accounts payable and purchasing teams with necessary data entry and follow-ups.

+ Software Utilization: Work with NetSuite and Bill.com to track invoices and payments (knowledge of Bill.com preferred but not required; NetSuite training available).

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Proven ability to manage high-volume invoice processing in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong proficiency in Excel, including experience with pivot tables and formulas.

+ Quick learner with the ability to retain training and work independently.

+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Background in accounting or bookkeeping is highly desirable.
