Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented System Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing systems, ensuring optimal performance, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient technology solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating and maintaining reliable and secure systems.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, configure, and manage computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.

+ Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.

+ Implement and manage system security tools, policies, and procedures.

+ Conduct system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and security.

+ Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and IT support staff to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.

+ Automate routine processes through scripting and other technologies.

+ Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.

+ Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for system enhancements or replacements.

+ Ensure systems comply with organizational standards and industry regulations.

+ Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

+ 3+ years of experience in system engineering, systems administration, or a similar role.

Technical Skills:

+ Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux environments.

+ Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

+ Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

+ Familiarity with networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.

+ Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).

+ Experience with monitoring tools and system performance tuning.

Soft Skills:

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

+ Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, CompTIA Server+).

+ Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
