Description

We are looking for a skilled Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Jacksonville, Florida. This role requires expertise in legal billing systems and case management software, as well as experience in construction or commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring smooth legal operations and accurate document preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage billing and invoicing processes using Bottomline software, ensuring seamless integration with MyCase case management system.

• Prepare and draft a variety of legal documents with precision and attention to detail.

• File legal documents electronically and ensure compliance with filing requirements.

• Assist in handling construction and commercial litigation matters, providing research and support as needed.

• Maintain and update case management systems to track deadlines and case progress effectively.

• Coordinate calendar scheduling for court dates, meetings, and other legal activities.

• Communicate with attorneys, clients, and external parties to facilitate case progress.

• Ensure proper organization and storage of legal documents for easy access and retrieval.

• Support the firm in managing high-priority tasks and resolving billing-related challenges.

Requirements • Proficiency in Bottomline billing software and MyCase case management system.

• Strong understanding of e-filing processes and legal document management.

• Demonstrated experience in construction or commercial litigation.

• Excellent organizational and calendar management skills.

• Ability to draft legal documents with accuracy and efficiency.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and external stakeholders.

• Familiarity with case management software and legal billing functions.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively.
