    Description

    We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Tacoma, Washington. This role will primarily focus on supporting the transition to QuickBooks Online and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work on a short-term project that may extend based on needs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and oversee accounting processes, including accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

    • Support the preparation of financial reports, ensuring all data is properly recorded and organized.

    • Audit financial transactions and documents to maintain accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

    • Work collaboratively with the finance team to close out the fiscal year in Sage 100 and establish a clean start in QuickBooks Online.

    • Oversee data migration processes, ensuring all historical and current data is accurately transferred.

    • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial reporting and system efficiency.

    • Maintain detailed documentation of processes and transitions for future reference.

    • Offer remote support or onsite assistance as needed to meet project objectives.

     

    Requirements • Proven experience with QuickBooks Online, including implementation and system transition projects.

     

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheet reconciliation.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounting systems and ensure data integrity during transitions.

    • Familiarity with Sage 100 and its functionalities is highly preferred.

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial reporting and auditing.

    • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

    • Ability to work independently and manage priorities within a flexible schedule.

    • Experience in a non-profit accounting environment is a plus.
