Description We are looking for a highly motivated Driver Support Representative to join our team on a contract basis in Stockton, California. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring seamless transportation operations by supporting drivers, tracking freight, and resolving operational challenges. This position is essential to maintaining high service standards and fostering strong relationships with both drivers and customers.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor freight movement using transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries and accurate service updates.
• Provide real-time updates to internal teams, customer service representatives, and external stakeholders regarding load status.
• Record key milestones such as departures, arrivals, and delays, escalating any issues as necessary.
• Address driver concerns related to route changes, equipment issues, or scheduling conflicts, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Dispatch, and Safety teams to provide drivers with required support services.
• Supervise driver activities to ensure adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.
• Assist with driver onboarding, scheduling, and performance tracking to maintain operational efficiency.
• Maintain open and consistent communication with drivers to ensure accountability and satisfaction.
• Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and responsiveness in all interactions.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to enhance overall transportation efficiency. Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a transportation or logistics role.
• Proficiency with transportation management systems and CRM tools.
• Strong knowledge of computer programs such as IBM AS/400 and ADP Financial Services.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with drivers and stakeholders.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience handling inbound calls and addressing customer or driver inquiries.
• Familiarity with billing functions and other administrative tasks related to transportation operations.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively.
