Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team in Springfield, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong skills in financial recordkeeping and reconciliation. The role plays a key part in maintaining accurate accounts and ensuring the smooth financial operations of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy.

• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

• Prepare and assist with month-end closing procedures, including journal entries.

• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

• Utilize bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks to track financial transactions.

• Generate detailed financial reports for management review.

• Enter and update financial data accurately into spreadsheets and accounting systems.

• Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve accounting issues.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable.

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks.

• Strong understanding of account reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes.

• Familiarity with payroll processing and related compliance requirements.

• Knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

• Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
