Description
We are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join a prominent law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for someone with a background in transactional law who is eager to provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling corporate and business legal matters. If you excel in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality legal assistance, this opportunity is for you. This role will be in-office full-time, five days a week. Permanent / Direct Hire.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys specializing in transactional law.
• Assist with drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate governance materials.
• Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are properly stored and easily accessible.
• Coordinate schedules, meetings, and deadlines for attorneys, ensuring efficient time management.
• Support attorneys with tasks related to mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals, joint ventures, and real estate transactions.
• Handle correspondence with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, maintaining a meticulous demeanor.
• Maintain and update legal document management systems such as NetDocuments or iManage.
• Utilize platforms like DocuSign and Workshare Compare to streamline document execution and review processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legal standards and regulations during all transactional activities.
• Provide general administrative assistance, including billing, calendar management, and claim administration as needed.
Requirements • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, particularly in transactional law, within a law firm setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with legal document management systems like NetDocuments, iManage, or Worldox.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of legal platforms such as DocuSign, SharePoint, and Workshare Compare is a plus.
• A detail-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.
