Robert Half is hiring candidates for an exciting entry-level Accountant opportunity, with a highly successful organization. In this position, you will review financial statements with a heavy data entry component. You'll thrive in this entry-level position if you're an Excel enthusiast interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation. This long-term contract / temporary entry-level Accountant position is located in Parsippany, New Jersey.

    Your responsibilities

    - Reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts

     

    - Make monthly journal entries

     

    - Assisting with audit fieldwork for both financial and operational audits

     

    - Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

     

    - Researching and correcting account discrepancies

     

    - Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned

     

    - Log data

     

    Requirements - Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks

     

    - Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

     

    - Excel Formulas experience desired

     

    - Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

     

    - Strong communication and interpersonal skills

     

    - Suggested education is an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

     

    - At minimum, 1 year of relevant accounting experience

     

    - High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred

    - Be detailed, flexible, and organized
