Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a leading organization in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting operations and a collaborative mindset to support the team effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes with accuracy and efficiency.

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and transactions.

• Support various accounting projects and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

• Provide flexible assistance to team members as needed to maintain smooth workflows.

• Utilize accounting software systems, including ERP platforms, to manage financial data and reporting.

• Assist with billing functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.

• Conduct audits to verify compliance and accuracy in financial documentation.

• Collaborate with other departments to address financial inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

• Leverage knowledge of systems like Concur and Ceridian for expense tracking and payroll processing. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting functions, including AP and AR.

• Familiarity with accounting software systems and ERP platforms.

• Strong skills in bank reconciliation and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in tools such as ADP, Ceridian, and Concur.

• Ability to manage billing processes and auditing tasks effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of Great Plains is a plus.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams.
