Responsibilities

• Perform monthly close activities including but not limited to:

• Prepare monthly financial reporting package to executive management

• Work directly with the shared service center to manage and coordinate corporate month end close

• Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account recs for the corporate general ledger

• Field questions/support business unit finance leads with close and consolidation questions

• Accounting and disclosure responsibility for and/or involvement in the following areas:

• Share-based compensation

• Derivatives and hedging (Fx and interest rate swaps)

• LIFO inventory

• Self-insurance reserves

• Debt covenant calculations

• Pension

• Goodwill and intangible asset impairment analysis

• Acquisition accounting

• Maintain and update the company’s accounting policies specific to the above areas

• Assist in coordinating and developing training materials for quarterly global accounting and finance updates

Requirements

Job Description:

• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience, preferably with public accounting experience

• CPA or working towards obtaining their CPA

• Knowledge in consolidation and reporting systems Hyperion and/or Workiva is a plus

• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and internal controls

• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask, while maintaining attention to detail

• Proactive self-starter who seeks new challenges and continuous improvement opportunities

• Ability to learn quickly and willingness to dive into new areas
