Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in New York, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for accuracy in financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and preparing financial reports.

• Record case-related expenses in the firm's case management system and process check disbursements as required.

• Prepare and present accurate financial statements to ensure transparency and compliance.

• Administer settlement fund disbursements while maintaining meticulous records.

• Reconcile monthly credit card statements and collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.

• Manage organizational and trust accounts, ensuring proper reconciliation and compliance with regulations.

• Process and document invoice payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records.

• Liaise with the firm’s external accounting firm to address financial matters and ensure smooth communication.

• Request and organize essential tax forms, such as W-9s, for financial documentation.

• Maintain a well-organized filing system for financial records to facilitate easy access and auditing. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, including proficiency in accounts payable and receivable.

• Strong skills in bank reconciliations and credit card statement analysis.

• Expertise in using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for financial management.

• Familiarity with payroll processing and month-end close procedures.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.

• Ability to manage organizational and trust accounts with compliance focus.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage correspondence with external stakeholders.

• Knowledge of financial documentation requirements, such as W-9 forms.
