Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Associate Attorney specializing in Real Estate Finance to join our client's law firm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role focuses on managing securitized loan originations and agency lending transactions, with a particular emphasis on Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae multifamily financing. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with institutional lender clients to structure, document, and close complex commercial real estate finance deals.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the origination and closing of securitized loans and agency lending transactions for multifamily and commercial properties.
• Review and negotiate loan documents to ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with underwriting and production teams to structure and execute complex real estate finance transactions.
• Provide guidance on loan structuring, risk evaluation, and securitization processes.
• Represent institutional lender clients in transactions involving diverse property types, including senior housing, mixed-use developments, and self-storage facilities.
• Conduct due diligence and draft legal documentation for commercial real estate finance deals.
• Manage transactions ranging from individual loans to large multi-jurisdictional portfolios.
• Advise clients on agency guidelines, including those set by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.
• Support capital markets clients with investor due diligence and related legal matters.
Requirements • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in the state of practice, with preference for Pennsylvania or neighboring jurisdictions.
• At least 3 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, securitized loan origination, or agency lending.
• Proficiency in handling Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae multifamily transactions.
• Strong skills in contract negotiation and drafting legal documents.
• Experience working with institutional lenders on complex financial transactions.
• Knowledge of agency lending guidelines and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple high-value transactions simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
