Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will manage essential financial tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate records. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong bookkeeping experience and a keen eye for accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.

• Perform accurate bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with bank statements.

• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Enter financial data into accounting systems with precision and timeliness.

• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to prepare financial reports and analyses.

• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial data to maintain accuracy.

• Assist in preparing documentation for audits or financial reviews as needed.

• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and workflows. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Advanced skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle data entry with a high degree of accuracy.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Familiarity with accounting standards and compliance requirements.

• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve financial discrepancies.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
