    General Description

    Global Capital Markets (GCM) is the centralized capital markets group responsible for advising, managing, and executing capital market activities for AIG and its affiliates. These market activities cover interest rate, currency, equity, inflation, commodity, and credit markets.

    GCM is responsible for advising, structuring, managing, and executing:

    + Derivative transactions and associated programs

    + FX transactions

    + Asset financing and short-term investment portfolios

    + Debt issuance and liability management

    + Share Repurchase Programs

    + Legacy portfolios and entities

    Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will be part of a small team, and will have primary responsibility for the execution and booking of:

    + Short-term investments including time deposits, commercial paper (CP), certificate of deposit (CD), and money market funds (MMF)

    + FX and derivative programs for AIG and its subsidiaries

    + Fixed income and funding transactions

     

    The role will report to the Head of GCM Portfolio Management. The incumbent will be expected to build and develop strong relationships with the business units/entities that they will provide services to. They will also work closely and develop partnerships with Treasury, Operations and Accounting teams across AIG, as well as external asset managers, counterparties, and vendors.

     

    The incumbent will also play a role in the testing and implementation of GCM’s target operating model as it relates to trade execution, trade workflow, booking and reporting infrastructure.

     

    Professional requirements / Experience

     

    + 1+ years of financial markets experience

    + Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently in cross functional/organizational teams

    + Ability to develop and maintain relationships with external and internal partners

    + Ability to work under pressure

    + Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills

    + Programming/automation skills and proficiency in SQL is a plus

     

    Education / Experience

     

    + Bachelor’s degree required

    + MBA, CFA, or similar professional designation a plus
