Now, we’re looking for a visionary Director of Power Supply and Business Development to join our leadership team and help shape the future of our power supply and member offerings.

As our Director, you’ll be at the heart of innovation — developing cutting-edge strategies for power supply, transmission, rates, and member programs. You'll lead a high-performing team and work across departments to uncover new business opportunities that support a smarter, cleaner energy future.

Anticipated hiring pay is between $143,800.00 - $188,790.00. The final compensation offered is based on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience and skill level. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 14% based on company performance.

What You'll Do:

Here’s a snapshot of your impact:

+ Lead and mentor a team of experts in power supply and business development

+ Develop and execute strategies for load management, distributed generation, and integrated resource planning

+ Cultivate partnerships with utility suppliers, developers, and power marketers

+ Guide power supply contract negotiations and asset development (including renewables and storage)

+ Drive business growth through strategic initiatives, market research, pilot programs, and financial modeling

+ Leverage data to optimize member programs and energy portfolios

+ Lead rate design strategies that evolve with member needs and market trends

+ Ensure compliance with MISO market rules and emerging policies like the Carbon Free Standard

What You Bring:

Required:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field

+ 5+ years of progressive experience in the energy utility sector, in areas like:

+ Power marketing, MISO markets, transmission rights

+ Regulatory policy, risk management, resource planning

+ Business development or renewables/distributed energy

+ Proven ability to lead major cross-functional projects

+ Excellent communication and public speaking skills

Preferred:

+ Master’s degree

+ Experience in MISO market transactions

+ 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
